The Memphis Area Women's Council is working with the Women's Foundation for a Greater Memphis to convene local leaders and researchers toward creation of a Poverty Impact Statement that would raise awareness of poverty's impact on women and help guide policy solutions. The Kellogg Foundation is funding the Women's Economic Security Collaborative in several cities and the Memphis project is funding $28,800 for coordination by the Women's Council.
