Hear their stories in their own voices on Nov. 9 when four Memphis Women of Achievement honorees gather for "Grateful for Great Women," the final WomenTalk of 2023.
Set for the panel are juvenile justice advocate and social justice trainer Mahal Burr, 2020 Woman of Achievement for Determination; reproductive rights leader Ashley Coffield, 2016 WA for Courage; entrepreneur and motivational speaker Summer Owens, 2012 WA for Heroism and civil rights veteran Elaine Lee-Turner, 1990 WA for Initiative. This gathering of achievers is a time for questions and conversation about why and how they do what they do.
"Grateful for Great Women" will be 5:30 to 7:30 pm Thursday Nov. 9 at First Congregational Church, 1000 S. Cooper St., 38104. Hosted by the board of the Memphis Area Women's Council, WomenTalk is an open house devoted to what's on women's minds - a chance to share, reflect, challenge and be inspired - with wine and snacks.
