Grateful for Great Women 2025 — WomenTalk on Nov. 13
Celebrate the passion, power and persistence of Memphis leaders at Grateful for Great Women 2025, the November gathering of WomenTalk.
Join the conversation at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, at Novel to hear a panel of Women of Achievement who are on the front lines in today’s issues.
Bettye Boone, 2015 WA for Vision; Mahal Burr, 2022 WA for Determination; Vanessa Rodley, 2024 WA for Courage; TN Rep. Gabby Salinas, 2019 WA for Heroism and Gwen Turner, 2025 WA for Heroism, will share their efforts and leadership to organize community change on issues ranging from voting rights to victim’s right, immigrant rights, LGBTQ rights and civil rights.

The 2026 Women of Achievement ceremony is set for March 22. It will be the 40th awards event that celebrates and documents the changemaking leadership of the women of Memphis and Shelby County. Your nominations help that happen!

An open forum on women’s issues
WomenTalk is an open house tradition initiated by the board of the Memphis Area Women’s Council in 2013, gathering when anything can be discussed and all opinions and fervor are welcome. Come yourself or share the invitation with women you know join us for conversation and commentary about the world around us, plus enjoy a beverage! We might cook up some action or just shoot the breeze, but WomenTalk is always interesting and exhilarating.
